BOSS FIGHT
[So, how have the past few days treated you? Have you found a place to stay? Have you met some friends? Maybe rested enough to recover your wounds? Well, let’s hope so...
Near the beginning of the afternoon a giant shockwave will rumble through the walls and a large explosion will be heard all across the Castle, causing a huge hole to open up from the gardens. And apparently failing to notice the huge door right next to it.
A few moments later, a few dozen ghosts come pouring in, attacking anyone and everything in sight. And that’s only those who have managed to enter the Castle: the troops have the entire area surrounded.
Finally a few moments later a much bigger and larger ghost shows up, gratuitously posing for everyone to see.]
Alright boys, now that Prince Laharl is long gone, this place is ours. Drive out these old sympathisers, we don’t need a bunch of Krichevskoy losers hanging around. Things are gonna change around here.
[The army of ghosts all stop and salute]
All hail the Ghost Overlord!
(OOC: For a full explanation, please see here)

All right, so that other ghost claiming to be an Overlord was pretty clueless, too, but this is just absurd.]
"Long gone"? What the hell do you think you're doing?

So he doesn't immediately notice Laharl there, instead, focusing on how he was planning on redecorating the place. He finally turns to Laharl.]
Wow... Krichevskoy really didn't know what to do with this place. What's with all the roses? Urgh.
[He turns back to the rose bushes, wondering how to burn them when... wait... That was...
He turns back to the Prince.]

Ghost Overlord? Great. Unimpressed demon hunter is unimpressed.]
Hate to disappoint you idiots, but Laharl ain't dead. And if you don't want him to kick all of your sorry asses out of here, you might want to turn around and leave. And leave some Hell for the spackle it's going to take to fix the new door you just made.
no subject
Okay, so we missed the part where he wasn't dead... can you blame us? It's not like he's been doing anything lately, how could we have known?
And anyway, dead or alive, it doesn't matter. I'm the Overlord now, so you're the one who should scram!

All that aside, this commotion has drawn his attention, so he's going to investigate in his traditional manner - which means a couple of those lowbie ghosts just went poof. Anyone nearby miiiiight just see one of their souls getting absorbed. (No new ability, he already has ghost souls.)]
Man, these guys are really scraping the bottom of the barrel. The castle's flunkies were tougher than this.

He isn't showing nearly the same care as Terra about collateral damage. In fact, his last sword technique just tore up one of his own tables along with several nearby ghosts.
He notices Terra as he turns about to attack another group. She's fairly small-breasted so he takes the random nudity pretty well in stride.]

Still, when the ghosts swarmed near and looking to attack them both, Adell leapt into the air, and then rocketed toward a cluster of foes foot first. On impact, fire erupted from the earth, bathing the cluster of ghosts in searing heat, defeating them with ease.]
Amateurs. Did they really think they could get away with this?

she was fighting to protect this castle, too. and vaan had helped her. there was more to her being on chaos' side than met the eye. it was the same... for him wasn't it?
wanting to believe it more than anyone, she stepped forward with a firm nod, conjuring a curaga and sending it towards the esper )

At first, it was by setting them on fire with Fire, freezing them with Ice, or casting the occasional Star, but they just kept coming, one after another, with no real end in sight just yet. Well. If stopping them by normal means wasn't going to work, perhaps some level of intimidation would. How would she manage to pull that intimidation off, though?
There was one way that she could try.
When she stopped casting her spells, a few of the ghosts stopped to briefly wonder if she'd given up, but then they saw her draw a large sword, the same one that she'd been dragging around the castle on the day of her arrival. She dragged it around into a position where, even as terrible as she was with it, she could still swing it around and do some considerable damage.
What would her tabletop character say here?]
Just try, fools.
[And try they did. The first ghost to act found itself caught by a (clumsy) spinning strike, and then flung headfirst into the nearest wall. A number of the others paused to laugh at its misfortune, leaving themselves open in the process.]

[That said, there really are quite a lot of ghosts here, more than he would reasonably expect one person to handle on their own unless they were, say, Alucard, Yoko or Julius (or himself). So yeah - he's going to clear a few of those out for you. With a

[Emizel was hoping that he would have seen the last of the ghosts when he finally got inside, but they literally were everywhere it seems. And these ones were even more aggressive than the ones outside. Oh joy.]
[Well, nothing a mega fire can't cure. If he recalled they had a natural weakness to it anyway. So if anything could clear a room that was it.]

But now, she was getting rather bored. They weren't hard at all! In fact, it was almost insulting to waste time on them. Going after the big one would probably be the better idea, but she had no idea just where he went. So instead, she was running around the Castle's halls, hitting everything that came her way, a frustrating look growing on her face.]
Urgh! Stupid ghosts! How many of you are there!
[If she was expecting an answer from the ghost in front of her, maybe she shouldn't have punched him away.]

What? What the hell do you want?
[One of the several in the group surrounding Bunny decides to try binding her with Tie Down, but no sooner than the binding rings appear is she three feet to the left, with there being no real indication that she actually moved; she was just suddenly there, now with one of her weapons drawn.
This time, instead of the spiked ball from before, it's a large laser sword.]
Oh, okay. So you want to play, do you?
[The ghost tries again, to just about the same exact result. It seems that the answer is "yes."]
Dammit, and I was hoping for some quiet out here... [Wasting no more time, she lunged forward, ready to strike.]

[Well, at least they were only ghosts. Not too threatening. Not really in a mood to fight right now either, just wanted to get through.]
C'mon, move..already... [He tried to squeeze by, but they were persistent. Trying to get in the way on purpose, almost.] I said move.
[The threat ain't working. Did these ghosts even know who they were dealing with exactly? Maybe he could give them a hint. It was sharp and pointy and odds are they probably don't want to get reaped.]
[...Well, it did scare off a couple of them, only the diehard ones remained...no pun intended. Still, it really does take a lot of guts to go up against Death, especially the undead.]
