[So, how have the past few days treated you? Have you found a place to stay? Have you met some friends? Maybe rested enough to recover your wounds? Well, let’s hope so...

Near the beginning of the afternoon a giant shockwave will rumble through the walls and a large explosion will be heard all across the Castle, causing a huge hole to open up from the gardens. And apparently failing to notice the huge door right next to it.

A few moments later, a few dozen ghosts come pouring in, attacking anyone and everything in sight. And that’s only those who have managed to enter the Castle: the troops have the entire area surrounded.

Finally a few moments later a much bigger and larger ghost shows up, gratuitously posing for everyone to see.]

Alright boys, now that Prince Laharl is long gone, this place is ours. Drive out these old sympathisers, we don’t need a bunch of Krichevskoy losers hanging around. Things are gonna change around here.

[The army of ghosts all stop and salute]

Do you know what happened? These ghosts weren't here yesterday.

Erm, not really. There was this big explosion earlier today and then the ghosts just appeared. I think they're trying to take over the place... said something about the Overlord being dead or something.

[As you can see, she has rapidly adapted into being a royal guard...]

Wait... how did you miss all this?

[Having finished cleaning up the other room with Stella, he's checking the adjoining rooms before heading to the inevitable boss battle in the throne room. Hey, that kid... feels familiar, for some reason...]

One of them is claiming to be the new overlord. He'll probably be waiting in the throne room, that's how these things usually work.

[He's giving you kind of an odd look, Emi. Like he feels he should recognize you, but doesn't. Maybe shoulda rethought that whole fresh start thing and brought the Rev CR with him... You on the other hand, Priere, are familiar for another reason. He'll get to that in a minute...]

...I'd say anything might be better than the one right now. But lemme guess, you're gonna stop them, aren't you.

You're kidding right? You'd take a demon who just blows up a hole in the wall and tries to kill everyone over a stuck up brat? [Sorry Laharl]

I mean, yeah, he's a jerk, but at least he's not trying to kill us on sight!

Sorry. You reminded me of someone back home for a minute there. Both of you did, actually.

[He shakes his head, throwing off the reverie.] Actually, I was thinking of going to watch them duke it out. With popcorn. Cleaning these guys out is just a mild workout.

[That sure is weird. Emizel glanced over at Priere too see if he could notice any resemblance too. After all, what are the odds that they both looked familiar. But right, there was more important matters to deal with.]

[What's with her "luck" of ending up looking like someone else? Hopefully this one won't mean a whole bunch of trouble in the long run.

However, before she can continue, one of the ghosts starts getting a bit too close to their group. With a rather loud cry, she suddenly turns around, slamming that ghost straight into the nearest wall with her baton.]

You two can watch all you want, but I'd rather wipe the floor with their stupid cloaks!

[...Okay, yeah, the resemblance is definitely only superficial. Yoko is *much* more refined. As for the kid... not quite sure what to make of him, though the skull on his hoodie does offer a hint or two.]

I was talking about their boss; wiping out these small fry is kind of part of my job description.

[And with that he's going to charge right in with a burning sword and a cluster of fireballs. Sorry, did someone hope to hide their elemental weakness?]

[...That hoodie probably helps, yes. Not like Emizel was really trying to keep it a secret. Far from it if he knew that's what intrigued Soma so and it wasn't in the negative way. Too bad the scythe wasn't his main weapon.]

Hang on, I got this.

[Another Mega Fire should blast away whatever's left. Is it probably too late to ask if there's anything flammable around? Because with all this fire going around, it probably isn't there now. Oops.]

[Priere was a tad bit annoyed that she barely got a few hits in, but still... as long as those things were gone, it was fine.

Their boss is running around somewhere, but I doubt he's much stronger. From the sound of it, they thought the place was empty.

[He'll be stepping away from the charred remains of the ghosts and the drapes now.]

I've seen zombies stronger than this, though - it makes no sense to invade using troops this weak, even if you expect minimal resistance. You're right - something's not right here.

[No, he's not taking into consideration that he's a hell of a lot stronger now than when he started out in the courtyard of Dracula's castle - or even since this particular battle began. He still feels like himself, after all.]
