BOSS FIGHT
[So, how have the past few days treated you? Have you found a place to stay? Have you met some friends? Maybe rested enough to recover your wounds? Well, let’s hope so...
Near the beginning of the afternoon a giant shockwave will rumble through the walls and a large explosion will be heard all across the Castle, causing a huge hole to open up from the gardens. And apparently failing to notice the huge door right next to it.
A few moments later, a few dozen ghosts come pouring in, attacking anyone and everything in sight. And that’s only those who have managed to enter the Castle: the troops have the entire area surrounded.
Finally a few moments later a much bigger and larger ghost shows up, gratuitously posing for everyone to see.]
Alright boys, now that Prince Laharl is long gone, this place is ours. Drive out these old sympathisers, we don’t need a bunch of Krichevskoy losers hanging around. Things are gonna change around here.
[The army of ghosts all stop and salute]
All hail the Ghost Overlord!
(OOC: For a full explanation, please see here)

He didn't even have time to dodge, he simply ate everything in the face, flying off the throne and crashing into the nearby wall. He was beat, that much was obvious. Even if he did stand up, everyone could see he wouldn't be able to do anything.
Rather extremely pathetic for someone claiming to be an Overlord, really.]
I'm... not going... to be defeated... by a bunch of cheating... CHEATERS!
[After ignoring the obvious hiding Emizel for so long, The Ghost finally makes his move. Using the last remaining bit of energy he has, he vanishes into the air, reappearing right behind Emizel, one hand right over his throat.]
Easy now... or else the kid gets it.

[Not as planned. Not as plaaaaaanned]
NO! Get away!!
[Desperate times meant desperate measures. Clearly, the only true way out of this situation is to get out of it himself. Not expecting anyone else to save him anyway.]
[Panic mode was too deeply set in so magic was out of the question....But he still had a club, err..stave. And he totally has no trouble using it right now without thinking about it. Bet you weren't expecting that Ghosty.]

Well, it's true this Overlord wasn't planning on making any rescue attempts, but that's largely because he thinks Casper is so weak a knock from a stave might do him in.]
This is getting sad. You know he's not even one of my vassals, right?
no subject
Pathetic. I've seen barely-animated skeletons and zombies that were stronger than this creep. You're not even worth a stain on my sword; the souls of your own subordinates should be more than enough to finish this.
[So saying, he waves a hand, conjuring two basketball-sized globes of ectoplasm. They will seek out and cause damage to their target; they're fairly weak though, and won't even scratch someone like Emizel if one accidentally clips him.]

But then he took Emizel hostage. And that was something Adell would not abide.
He didn't bother with formalities. Or banter, or so much as another word. The ghost knew a vanishing trick, but so did he. And he was not going to be merciful. Not this time, not to a coward like that.
From everyone else's perspective, Adell must've looked like he was still in a ready position, before looking like he took a step forward. But suddenly, his outline and coloration faded into near darkness....
As he emerged suddenly and without warning above and behind the Ghost Overlord. The Tiger Charge successful, Adell drove his elbow down into the ghost overlord's head without mercy. It might kill him. Or it might knock him out for a good long time.
Either way, he's looking to put him down in a single strike.]

[Unlike the two others, she didn't make a move when the ghost went for Emizel. For her, the chances of him getting hit in the crossfire were too high.
So of course, she was a bit taken aback when they attacked him. Even she wasn't that reckless...]
no subject
Don't hurt him!
no subject
You little piece of crap! Hasn't anyone ever told you how to be a hostage?!
[On the bright side, Emizel's hit brought him back to his senses, making him finally notice that the rest of Laharl's cronies didn't care two bits about the hostage. Oh well, if they wanted to hurt him, he would oblige.
Speed was actually his only strenght, and for once he was going to use it. Noticing the two orbs, he grabbed the boy and tossed him right in the attack, using that momentum to move just slightly out of Adell's trajectory. Before the fighter could recover, he made his ultimate move.
He ran away as fast as his ghostly little form could take him, vanishing into thin air halfway through the room for good measure. HA! Let those cheaters try to catch him now!
And so, upon seeing their leader retreat the rest of the ghost army made their way out. Most of them were gone within a few minutes... but some would linger on until someone would come and forcefully eject them.
The invasion... if one could call it that, was over.]
no subject
I'd say that was anti-climactic, but considering how weak the rest of them were...
[Even if they'd been on time, you couldn't have called it a fight. This was almost on par with the prinnies challenging him to a baseball game.
He tucks his sword away into his scarf and glances over his vassals.]
Someone make sure Casper and his lot are actually out of the castle. I don't want to be dealing with any more of this nonsense.
no subject
If I know anything about cowards, he'll be back. Probably with a bigger army. You want us to put in some cameras or something? Maybe flamethrower installations on the outer walls?
[Mildly annoyed at the turn of events, Soma's going to put away his own blade and go to check on Emizel. The ghost orbs shouldn't have done much (if any) damage, but hey, better safe than sorry.]
You okay?
no subject
Irritated, he got back to his feet and walked over with Soma to check on Emizel.]
Sorry about that. Thought I'd be fast enough to drop him before he did something like that. I forgot just how fast cowardly demons can move.
no subject
[The tiny reaper got up with much ease and brushed off.]
Is he gone now?
no subject
It pissed her off even more that given just how obvious it should have been that Soma and Adell decided to attack him! Really, that kid could have been seriously hurt.]
Urgh, you two are so lucky right now...
[That Emizel was unharmed? That the ghost was getting away and she didn't have the time to give them a piece of her mind? Who knows? But at that instant, Priere dashed out of the throne room, trying to catch up with that ghost before it would get away from them.]
