[Stella was actually not working for once. She wasn't chased off or sent on any ridiculous errands this time, and had instead actually been given the option of taking the day off and decided to take it, knowing fully well that opportunities for legitimate time off were rare.

She was on her way past the throne room, going from her room to who-knows-where, when she heard Laharl call out. She froze in place for a brief moment, first thinking he was going to ask why she wasn't making another one of those cakes, but let herself relax when that turned out not to be what he was asking.]

Multiplayer in what?

You better at fighting games or racing games? I like a challenge.

Honestly, I'm a bit of a button-masher when it comes to fighting games. Racing games I'm okay with, but I—I'm not going to lie and claim to be the best.

I'm more used to RPGs than anything else really, but...if you want, I have some free time today.

I haven't seen this particular game before, though. Could―could you give me a quick run-down on the controls? [Or, you know, just leave her to figure out what button is what. Which, honestly, is what she's expecting.]

But that takes the fun out of watching your character do stupid things while you figure it out.

[Yeah, her expectations are pretty accurate.]

[She won't deny that there's at least some fun to be had in trying to figure the game out for herself, either. So now she picks up the second controller and looks at the screen, trying to figure which character on the roster looks like one she might turn out to be okay with.

Maybe that one...no, swords are a little too generic. What about...nah, characters that look like they have range would probably be quickly shut down by anyone who can get too close. How about―what the hell is that character even supposed to be?

[What was that about swords being generic? Laharl is totally picking a character with a sword.

And it looks like Stella has wound up with some sort of... blob monster? Really, what is that? Does it even have any form of limbs or... eyes...? About all it has going for it at first glance is that it looks hard to slice with a sword.

Laharl snorts.]

Good luck with that.

[A blob. She got a blob. This is going to end horribly, isn't it. With both characters chosen, though, the game is set to begin; there's no backing out at this point.]

Wha-what's this even supposed to...?

[There's no time to question it as the first round starts, all that can be done here is...hit buttons to see what happens.]

[Laharl has clearly had time to learn all the moves and combos for his character, and he doesn't waste time using them. He gets off a pretty devastating slash-and-energy-beam kind of attack while her blob is flailing uselessly, but then-- something she presses makes the blob completely envelop his sword, and his arm.]

What the--?

[Is that- a grab move or something??]

[She'll wander into the throne room, cause... Flonne does that, and hopefully won't be greeted with "Hey, you." He'll get in trouble if he calls her that.]

Eh? [She'll wander over to him, peering at the tv.] What are you playing, Laharl?

Ohhhh... [She'll settle down beside him, and pick up the second controller. Also totally noticing he seems to be in a pretty good mood today... better mood than she's seen him in awhile, even.]

I guess I could play for a bit.

It's the newest one, there's even this character now who uses vine whips and flowers and stuff.

[Meanwhile Laharl is selecting some villainous sword-weilding character. Well... to be fair, a lot of the options look like villains, but most of them don't have swords.]
